Happy Fairtrade Fortnight everyone. Look out for things to do in Oxford and beyond (see our events page for more details). And choose at least one extra Fairtrade item each day. Together we can make a difference..
Join us as we host Sophi Tranchell, CEO Divine Chocolate UK, at Wadham College for our AGM on 22nd January..
Royal Borough of Greenwich has recently become the first in London to commit to the Declaration and joins Oxford, Oldham, Peterborough, Cannock Chase and Bingley as the sixth council to stand up for responsible tax conduct.
By approving the Councils for Fair Tax Declaration a Council demonstrates that it is:
- leading by example on its own tax conduct
- demanding greater transparency from suppliers
- calling for more meaningful powers to tackle tax avoidance amongst suppliers when buying goods and services.
Thanks to everyone who came to see us at 2019’s One World Fair and Fair Trade Festival!
Attention! Make a note right now to drop into the One World Fair and Fair Trade Festival at the Oxford Town Hall on Saturday 9th November, 10.00am – 4.00pm.
Stalls from a huge range of organisations, great things to see and buy, food, music and Fair Trade talks and discussions throughout the day – what’s not to like?
See you there!
